- Hey:
-
-
- I'm an embedded/Driver Assembler/C/C++ type who is being
- forced to do some interfacing with the Win32 world. I've only done a
- small amount of such programming. I'm looking for advice on which
- IDE I should get. Here are my requirements, and my current thoughts;
- bear in mind that these thoughts are based on very little, and
- quite probably incorrect infromation. Please aquaint with me with my
- ignorance, if necessary.
-
- My work has been based on Borland products. Although I will continue
- to use these for this purpose, I don't think that my learning Object Windows
- makes a great deal of sense. I mean, they are the only ones who use
- it. Does this make sense.
-
- I've always been a fan of Watcom. However, they have always been
- a little behind in the IDE area. Normally, this is more than just fine with
- me; however, I need the visual fetaures this time, because I am only
- looking to generate a Win32 shell - I already have most of the modules to
- interface.
-
- I'm looking for: excellent visual IDE, power, and debugging. I need the
- ability to eaisly add third party libraries and tools (like assemblers). I would
- really like good documentation (perfectly willing to pay more for this).
-
- Please help.
